    Hello everybody,

I have a switch (SW1 on the picture) controlling a relay. It's normally closed. When the switch is depressed I want the LED strip to turn on and stay on for a couple of seconds. I realize I probably going to need something like 555 in monostable mode, just can't figure how to hook it up. In other words, how do I design an SW2 such that it closes when SW1 closes and stays closed for some time time, then returns to open.

    Thank you.

Great. I was secretly hoping for something not involving ICs, because my level is actually below basic, and this is something which will hopefully allow me to better understand what I'm doing. Trying to breadboard now.
