I am not quite sure what you mean by introduction but 3 phase motor has three coil sections, each occupying about 1/3 of the entire revolution. You can test it by rotating the motor and observe the output from the three outputs on the oscilloscope. In one period you should see three lobes partly overlapping. That is, there should be a 120 phase shift from one lobe to the next. I am not sure whether thats what you wanted. If you need the mathematical analysis you should be specific.
