    hi

i have been given the following question, in which i have to find the thevenin equivalent, only i have no idea how to go about this, and cant ask my lecturer for help, so any help you can give (ideally a wokred solution, although, i appreciate this may be too much!) would be much appreciated

Let me get this straight. The rules of this assignment are that you can't even ask your lecturer for assistance, yet you think it is okay to come here and ask someone to provide you a worked solution?

Okay, so describe (just as best you can) what your current understanding is of what your goal is and how you should go about it. Then we can offer some hints on how to take the next step.
