I'm in the process of building a theremin. The circuitry and case are all finished, so all that's left is the antennae. What kind of materials would work best? I scavenged some old rabbit ear TV antennae from the dump, but I'm not sure if they would be suitable. Any advice?

Any metal should do. If there is a spec given in the project as to length and diameter, that should be your guide.

I used an old radio antenna for the Theremin that I built.

In the Feb 96 issue of Electronic Musician there is a Theremin constuction article by
Bob Moog. The article describes antenna construction using plumbing pipes.

I love that crazy sound that theremins make (rather interesting instrument). Any chance you'll post a recording of it when you're finished?
