I am designing a static var compensator and am using the TCA785 IC to drive the firing angles of the triacs, I have used the phase control circuit that is in the Siemens datasheet.
my concern is that can I also use the PI controller together with the tca785 (phase control)or not...and on the IC pin 8 is labled Vref, do I need to supply the reference voltage ?
