What will happen if i short both positive and negative terminal of opamp camparator?

What positive and negative terminals, input or power?
Short terminals to what?
If you are talking about shorting the inputs together, the output level will be indeterminate, depending upon the input offset of the particular op amp you are using.

 

Right. An op amp has three sets of positive and negative terminals. The input, the output and the power supply.

Which set are you talkin bout?

 

I mean the -ve input and + ve input terminal and short both of them to each other.

Then the op amp has no power to it and will obviously not work.

 

And it might be a little hard on the power supply.

 

If you provide a schematic of your circuit with the pins indicated, you will get better answers.
