It recently happened to me when trying to refresh my password for an online account. The 'short, simple' password that I had used with them for years had to be replaced with a 'multi cabbage garbage' password.
I tried at least 8 times and each time it needed more, finally I gave up.!!

They could at have the decency to display all those ridiculous rules before you bust your head for 5 minutes to come up with a good, memorizable(?) password, only to have it rejected.

And I still don't understand the point of all these rules.
