The LED(SMD) on the PCB is making ticking noise when it is turning on/off. What could be the reason?

The LED(SMD) on the PCB is making ticking noise when it is turning on/off. What could be the reason for this noise? (It is like a small...."chlick chlick").

How do you know the noise is from the LED?

Is there a "relay" on that board that might be clicking?

I doubt it is the LED unless something very weird is going onwith thermal expansion and a bad solder joint is clicking. Check for a relay (magnetically activated switch) as McGyvr suggests above.

a capacitor might be doing the clicking too. in fact is more probable than the led.
