HEY! That would be great!

It the server we are on a shared server?
Hey Retched - We have a rented box at softlayer.com. I also host some sites for friends and family but they don't use nearly the resources that AAC uses (vBulletin is a bit of a resource hog).

Hello,

When you post in off-topic there will be no added post.
In the other forums the post counter should add.

Hello t06afre,

No, it has been changed somewhere in march 2010,
as there where some members who tried to boost the postcounts by posting in the off-topic.
Now there is NO postcounting in off-topic anymore.

Hi Jrap, what kind of server runs the site?

It's been doing it again last night and today.

Home page tells me 680 (46 members and 634 guests)

Shouldn't be too high of a load unless everybody is using the search.

Im injured here! How do you expect me to stay entertained?? HUH??

What am I paying you for? Downtime?

Wonder if someone is trying to hack us? ElectroTech was vandalized a couple of months ago.
THATS IT!

If someone is continually attacking AAC and keeping me from my educatin'/entertainin', then they best watch out. Imma come out swingin'

..well once my elbows heal.

Actually I was being serious. The first part of many hacking attacks is a Denial of Service attack. If the server can be overwhelmed it can create an opening.

This site has been attacked in the past, several times. So has ElectroTech (they got in there), several times. Seems we are on someones list for bragging rights.
