this time it remains lit during the whole sweep, except for going dim at around 125ish khz
If I remember right, it should get brighter for one of the loops and dimmer for the other (I can't remember if it's dimmer for the tank circuit and brighter for the secondary, or vise versa). Anyway, it sounds right.

Ah, looks great! :)

Is that PVC pipe that you're using to hold the electrodes of the spark gap? I tried that once and it ended up burning the PVC :p

yea, I think I need to move to something that can handle more power, carbon tracking is threatening to rear its head, and the tiny copper tubes turn black quickly.

I praise/applaud/worship and all the similar verbs of admiration.

But I have two questions:

  • Where do you build this monster?
  • How much current does it draw?
