Hi. I was wondering if anyone could advise me on how to connect a SoC to a power supply using a pcb and a regular solder iron. Is this feasible or do I need specific kit?

More specifically I want to leave a chip with all pins connected as standard to a pcb board but i want to supply it with a separate power supply. What is a good practical way to connect to the power supply pins on the chip?? How is this type of thing normally done?

 

You would seem to have a specific device in mind, why not tell us what it is and post a picture or something?

If you have a chip on a PCB then presumably the PCB has power connectors? Solder your power leads to those.
