Hi,
Just wondering is there a relatively easy yet reliable way to switch a large 24v DC motor on/off. It has a rated current of 35A.
Without getting into speed controllers and ramp circuits, would it be advisable to directly switch it on/off with a relay capable of handling this, plus excess starting current? Would there be major issues with arcing on the contacts of any relay switching such a load?
It will not be switching more than 5 times per minute.
Power supply is not an issue as it will possibly be driven from batteries.
Thanks,
Regards NM
