switch solution

    x, y and z are switches. x and y are connected to a mechanical lever. when the lever is in the central position x and y are open. when the lever goes up it turns on the switch x, and then returned to neutral (it springs back), and x switch off. same thing with the switch y, with the lever moves in the opposite direction.
    problem is as follows: when the lever starts up and turns the switch x and then return to the neutral position, it should be turned on the switch z that after restoring lever in neutral, should remain connected. When the lever is moving in the opposite direction y should switch off z ... The problem is that x and y for a short stay on, and z should constantly be either on or off.

    I know of no standard switch type that covers this. X & Y are simple, and momentary ON-OFF-ON DPDT type would cover that.

    Perhaps a latching relay could be used for Z, along with another pole or two for the ON-OFF-ON switch to control it.

    The relay becomes your Z switch; X and Y are momentary switches, and when X is activated it closes switch Z. When Y is activated it turns switch Z off.
