Has anyone bought anything from sure-electronics?

Are they reliable as a seller in shipping and the quality of goods?

They've got a 99.8% rating on ebay though. Just wanted to check with you guys!

    thanx in advance!

If you want to be sure about the quality buy from large distributor companies like RS, Mouser, Digikey etc.

Agreed. I'm tending more to deal with Farnell these days.

I think Farnell is more expensive than the ones I mentioned.

    Hello,

The problem in holland with farnell is that they only supply to companies.
As a single person they ask high administation costs, a minimum order and paying in advance.

    Greetings,

I have not purchased anything from sure-electronics.

If you have trouble with your order, you may or may not find language to be a barrier to successfully resolving your transaction.

E-bay changed their policy on positive/negative reporting; negative reports were eliminated a year or so ago. Therefore, the vendor ratings on E-bay are now meaningless.

If you want to be certain that the components you buy will perform to the advertised specifications and will be delivered to you in a reasonable amount of time, then you should buy from known authorized distributors from known manufacturers, such as Digikey, Mouser, Arrow, Avnet, Newark, etc. Otherwise, you are buying into an unknown. The performance of the components that you may (or may not) receive may well be marginal, or may not even come close to the specifications.
