    Good evening all,
Let me start by saying I am a rank amateur but am dangerously unafraid to try new things. To this end, I have settled on building a "Sunrise Alarm" and have been looking for a schematic or diagram to build one. Although I've found a few articles close to what I want, nothing seems to be what I want:
    • Up to 300w incandescent output.
    • 30 minute span from zero to full voltage
    • Smooth ramp up to simulate actual sunrise
    • quiet operation (this isn't a deal breaker but would be nice)
I have basic skills, basic tools and access to the internet. What more could a young boy need? Can anyone help a brother out?

We avoid projects that are not isolated from mains power.

From your initial requirement statement of 300W incandescent, that could only mean mains powered lighting.

Your request is therefore out of the scope of this forum.

However, if you wish to revise your requirement to slowly ramping up the intensity of a number of LEDs powered by a step-down transformer over a period of 30 minutes, that is within the scope of the forum.
