    Hi everyone,

My 2.1 speaker system has stopped working, the subwoofer does not start but the L/R speakers are fine when tested separately.
So I opened the subwoofer and first tested its transformer which is 230V, 50Hz to (12V X 2), 1.2A and I can read about 100 ohms on the primary and about 15 ohms on both secondaries. And there is about 220V AC on the input but with almost 0.1V on both outputs when turned on.

I noticed this white thing on one of the connections on the input and I do not know what is this??

I doubt it is the problem, anyone has any idea??

    Regards

Looks like a crimped on wire connector.

You may have to cut the wires to check for continuity.

    Then get a new connector.

Just tested it and it was not the problem. I found the loose wire on board in another place and there is 12V AC supplied to the circuit now. But still it does not work, I will continue checking...
