Have you bothered to look up any information regarding IP addresses and subnets, or must we assume you know absolutely nothing about them?

Hi,
Thanks for these links. I would take some time to read them and then discuss my problem or any other related problem.

Hi,
I tried to understand subnetting but not able to understand the whole thing.
I now know:
Class A range= 1.0.0.0 to 126.0.0.0
Class B range= 128.1.0.0 to 191.254.0.0
Class C range= 192.0.1.0 to 191.254.0.0

Subnet mask for class B = 255.255.255.0 (i got it from a book)
In the question 192.168.10.0 is the class C address but i dont know the subnet mask for class C.
I dont know how to extend the natural mask using some bits from the host id.

Kindly guide me with my question.

Zulfi.
