I am thinking of purchasing a dual primary transformer, as it saves money and allows for inputs of 115 and 230V nominal.

However, I am trying to get double outputs as well, 12 and 24VDC.

What's confusing is the column where it says VA size. Let's look at the first one in the datasheet attached for example. The VA size is 1.1 with secondary ratings of 10V C.T. @ .11A and 5V @ .22A.

Can anybody help me understand this better? The VA size is basically it's output power rating, no?

Sorry if this is too elementary, but I want to make sure I understand this correctly.

    Thanks.
