    as a stedent with a below par instrutor, I am confused.On the board he showed us a 2-bit multiplier.Our assignment was to show a 3-bit multiplier via block diagram.I think I need a full adder for my 3rd output but am unsure. any help would be appreciated

    if I hadn't have made a block diagram already I wouldn't be asking for help.It's the understanding of the circuit I'm l;ooking for

    What do you mean by 3rd output? The 3rd bit of the result? If your input is 3-bits long your result will be 6-bits long.

    Go ahead and post your diagram of the circuit you have generated. Then we can comment on where you may be able to improve it.
