I have a 12 volt dc motor with a simple circuit for DC Motor speed control ( Pulse Width Modulation). The motor is driving a table on a linear rail. I would like to create switch that would stop the table moving once a switch is hit. I would also like the switch turn off a 110 volt AC Solenoid.

Event Sequence

  1. I press start.
  2. The table move and the solenoid is activated.
  3. The table will hit a switch.
  4. The dc motor stop moving the table and the solenoid is deactivated.
  5. I return the table by hand to start. (or by motor)
I am a newbie, I would like the simple way of doing this.

You would need a relay operated by the single micro SW to switch the two functions 12v and 120v.
The relay would latch in by a retaining contact wired across the start P.B.
The micro switch would unlatch the relay, it would be wired with N.C. contact in series with the relay coil.
Max.
