hi, I am a newbie and I have been working with arduino so far for my projects. However I am trying to design a hardware for my ipad and I am looking for something more powerful, I came across stm32 and EFM32. which platform is more powerful and has a better community (for help and support) out there?

STM32 Discovery kit(STM32F4DISCOVERY) vs EFM32 Giant Gecko Starter Kit EFM32GG-STK3700

    thanks

Price is not everything across this problem, but is important to make the right choice.
That is why I recommend you choose STM32. You can start with something like this:

EFM Gecko kit is more expensive by $60 I think. but i am willing to invest more if it is a better micoController and is more main stream, and has better helping community.

I have not used the Silicon Labs EMF32 but I have extensive working knowledge of STM32.

I am extremely satisfied, no, I am estatic about the powers of the STM32F mcu.

The STM32 forum is very active and has been very helpful to me.

If you are now starting out, the STM32F4DISCOVERY is hard to beat.
