Hi,
Just now another question came to my mind...

How is the output of an R-S latch determined for different inputs? Should one first determine the output of not-Q and employ this to come at Q? or should one go the other way round?

Thanks,
Fahad

Either way is fine. One note. This device normally goes to an indeterminate state if both inputs are active. That is if R=S=1 then the output could be in either state.
