stepper motor

    Is stepper motor require 4 inputs to run in forward direction

    A stepper motor requires the 4 wires to be connected, because you will be setting both forward and reverse voltages on both pairs of wires.

    bipolar 1-2 phhase excitation stepper motor

    im using drv8835 as motor driver ic. for this ic require whether 2 inputs or 4 inputs to run in forward direction

    Apart from enable, two inputs needed for direction control.

    The drv8835 is just a H-bridge chip. It by itself won't run a stepper motor. What 'logic' are you using to drive the drv8835? While the drv8835 can drive a stepper, it's more often used for brushed motors, see what Pololu says about it - http://www.pololu.com/product/2135

    It will drive a bipolar stepper motor fine, as it has two independent hbridges inside;

    From what i understand, if it is run in the mode shown above, both enable lines can be left on, and the stepper motor can be driven from 2 control wires; BPHASE and APHASE.

    01 A- B+
    11 A+ B+
    10 A+ B-
