which made me understand several things...
however in my spces sheet it says 240 RPM is 1600 pps... But in the conversion tool (and a formula I found elsewhere) 240 rpm is 800 pps!
I wonder why this is so? Perhaps they are calculating with half-step mode??

I always thought that the PPS(pulses per second) was a direct result of the step angle of the motor, such as 200 steps per revolution equals 1.8 degrees per step
already did that and as I said to no avail. All documents mention 1-2 phase excitation as something you already know the definition of, but no mention of a definition.
I am guessing it is another name for half step. Can someone please confirm or deny this?
