What is the forward bias for Stabistor diodes or Forward Reference Diode?

I get 1.2 volts for the forward bias

Any reason why the forward bias is 1.2 volts or much higher than .7 volts like most diodes?

What is the use of these Stabistor diodes? is it to clip and clamp the voltage?

So these diodes get forward bias on how much current drives to? What DVM meter forward biases these diodes to test them? Only my fluke 87 in diode mode ( the test voltage is 3volts in diode checker mode ) that will forward bias these diodes which will measure 1.2 Volts
