Hello everyone, I've just started playing with power electornics and just made a SSR just like this one http://www.uoguelph.ca/~antoon/circ/solidstate.html
However, being a noob myself, I've researched there are some other options for this (I've seen some using Zener diodes and some other stuff). So I have 2 main questions...
1. What is the most efficient/easier to understand model?
2. Are there equations or anything I should know about this (or other) model that can help me modify it? I know BF256A on the pic is used to limit the current no matter the input voltage, but I can't figure out how, and what if I want to change the values or input voltage to 3-20 volts instead of 5-25? what should I need to change and why? I'd like to test it with a 127 V 100 W incandescent lamp as the load if it's possible
