anyone knows how SSHI control is achieved?, i am using it with reference to a piezo harvester

I was referred to an IC LTC1440 but cannot understand how it achieves peak and minima detections..

You need to learn how to google. Just type the part number and "datasheet". or SSHI and piezo.

 

i googled that IC, but i still don't know how to implement it for switching the inductor in the SSHI...

From datasheet i can understand that you just set the resistors for a specific voltage parameter for which when it goes under that parameter the IC output goes high.

But with piezo the voltage input varies, it is not static...how can it monitor when the output is maximum, and what about when you are in the negative cycle?
