I am finally getting a toe wet with SPICE, and find I need a part that is not in the Linear library, namely the CD4017 counter.

Can anyone point me to where I can download the model for that device?

    Thanks. John

BTW: Google gives many hits, some of which state that models for that device are available free on the web, but the links only gave listings of devices. I could not find a link with an actual downloadable file for the model. I suspect I am missing something very obvious in that regard.

If you are using LTspice, you can get a fairly complete library of CD4000 parts. This includes CD4017.
You will probably have to join the Yahoo LTspice group first. There are hundreds of other models available there, if you go into the Files section.

You can change Vcc by right-clicking on the symbol after you place it. This brings up the Attribute Editor. See below.
I haven't played with tripdt or speed.

Thanks again. One of the sites I visited last night mentioned an error in Vcc. Now I know how to fix it.
