    hi,
i want to interface ads7888 to pic18f4550. pic supports 3 wire spi(all modes supported) .ADC has pins named sdo, sclk,cs.
    it has no sdi pin.
datasheet says it supports serial interface.
there is no mention of spi in adc datasheet.
what are the steps to interface it with the μcontroller?

(ADC gives 1.5msps o/p if sclk is given as 25mhz)

    pls help,

    sindhukrish.

THe ADC does support serial comms. Those pins are:

    SDO - serial data out
    SCLK - serial clock
    CS - chip select

If you read the data sheet for the ADC, it explains how to interface it. You do not need the SPI I/F.
