    Good morning gents.

After the spam "attack" last night, I've started thinking. I know of some forums that require the user to enter a capatcha before posting a comment when they have less than X posts. I believe this site currently implements the use of capatchas if you're trying to post an image, but the spammers tend to post links instead of photos. How difficult would it be to set the site to require a capatcha for the first 5 posts or so? It seems to me that might eliminate a lot of the spammers we tend to get here.

    Just a thought.

    Regards,
    Matt

    Hello,

The best is to report the spammer as soon as possible.
We moderators have a tool, that will delete all the posts and threads of the spammer and ban the spammer with two mouse clicks.

Yes Bertus, and you guys do an excellent job. But couldn't the use of a capatcha make your job a bit easier?

Sorry, don't mean to argue. Just curious.

    Hello,

As far as I know the capatchas for images have been removed, as there where to many complaints.
The use of capatchas for new users is not for us moderators to decide.
This is something for our administrators Dave and jrap.
