Solving Amplifier analysis

I have a question on solving amplifier problems: ie. IE, VB, AV, etc.

In class we were solving the analysis of amplifiers by using RinBase and VB.

In the textbook the answer key uses VTH and RTH.

I am confused because each method gives slightly different answers. Is one way better than the other? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Since you provide no circuit, there is no way to make heads or tails of your scribble scratchings.

When you say that the two methods produce slightly different answers, how different? Are they within the margin of error? Are you using intermediate results that have been rounded too much? Are you using linear approximations to a nonlinear circuit?
