hello

I try to create a mini circuit to control the solenoid valve at the specific time in day for about 30 to 60 s.
This timing should be able to varied by the user. The basic need for the solenoid valve control is to allow the water flow to garden.

I could able to identify the solenoid valve which operates at 230 V ac with 0.5 inch size.

Can some one suggest me some discrete circuit which could meet the above requirement.

 

A timer would be the simplest solution.

The simplest solution would be a MCU. You will need to program it, however.

There are lots of timers on ebay like the one in post #3. Also, you can buy battery-powered sprinkler timers that attach to a garden hose. Some have solar cells so you almost never need to change the batteries.

There are cheap Irrigation timers that will also program zones and time periods, but they usually control the 24vac valves direct.
