Soldering Tip...which one....

All,
I have an older (ok real old) Hexacon Vara-Temp MV15 Soldering Station.

I believe it was my late dads.

I powered it up the other night to realize that the soldering tips were no longer with the station after our recent relocation. Station Heats up just fine. I usually used this station for my fine soldering.

From memory....the tips went around...not a screw in type.

Honestly I am not overly familiar with Soldering tip selection or even how to select the correct tips etc. The last tips were bought more than a decade ago for this station...

I would like to know where I could get tips for this old station and how to match station to tips...is it by size and/or station make/ model?

Thanks
Chris

Soldering iron tips are not generally interchangeable between different makes/models. If you iron looks like this then the tips are still available.

All,
This looks to be exactly the same unit except mine is a tan color one.

The tips from the drawings look correct. The tips slide over with circle rings I believe keeping things in place.

Thanks for the help!

All,
Got a Quick Response from Hexacon.

They say yes they are available and are Sleeve type.

The following tips will work;
HT880X -> HT886X.
