Hello Experts,

I am working on one reverse engineering project for on PCB. We have voltage regulator mounted having one inductor before input line(Non shielded, Green Top and 103 Marking) and another inductor at output(Non shielded, Black Top and 471 Marking). I belive 103= 10 mH and 471= 470 micro henry. But by looking at size 471 inductor has big size then 103. IS it possible?
Please help me understood this.
We have Volt regulator with Vin=24VDc and Vout=5VDC Fixed and using LM2575S-5.0 regulator.

THanks in Advance !!!

The phsyical size of the inductor depends on the maximum current it can handle, you can have a 10mH inductor the size of a through hole resistor.
