Does anyone know where I can get small e-paper display (sunlight readable).
I searched for smaller display like: 1.44" like

but I want to go smaller like 0.96" or 1".

    1. How to view e-paper in night. Do they have LED on back.

Most e-paper displays do not have a backlight, as they are meant to be read exactly like paper. There are some semi-lit e-paper hybrids though, such as this one by Adafruit:

Also, I'm not sure you'll be able to find much smaller than that, as you start having to worry a lot about the built-in circuit's density.

I did find a flexible 1.73" display though that looked pretty cool, if you were trying to use it for some sort of smart watch, I think it would be perfect. You can find more about it on eink's site:

    Look at this display:
    http://www.sharpmemorylcd.com/0_99-inch-memory-lcd.html

It is not an e-paper display but it only needs about 10 uW to show a static image. It does not have a backlight but does have very high contrast compared to most LCD's. I don't know how its contrast compares to the e-paper display.
