Just looking for some suggestions on a simple temporary "pre-charging" circuit for a small bank of capacitors. It is just 4 x 23000uF (75V) caps in parallel across the input of a 48VDC bus. There is a 700 ohm 10W bleeder resistor too (1 resistor for all 4 caps)
I was thinking about just a 100W lightbulb or something placed in series with the input and when the bulb goes out it should indicate its charged..

Sound good? any other suggestions.

My guess is that lamp would not be visable at near full charge, V low, resistance falling, power to bulb- ziltch. Voltmeter might work.
