    Make sure all cables are securely fastened to both the monitor and computer. Try again.
    You may also see if you can try a different monitor with the same computer. They are not worth having someone fix it as it would cost as much as buying a new CRT style monitor.

    A *very* common fault with these Samsung SyncMasters (or as I like to call them, pieces of designed-to-fail junk) is the bunch of three 2-3W power resistors on one end of the power supply. All of them should measure 68 ohms, but often one goes open circuit. Replace the failed resistor with a 5W 68 ohm and your monitor should come back to life. Also check for bad capacitors. Good luck!
