simplest question ever

    hi everyone, im totaly rubbish when it comes to electronics but im currently building a 2p machine (penny pusher) like they have in arcades. im wanting to put some leds in it ive purchased a 3 of those light bars from poundland (uk) it has 4 leds a switch and 1 resistor how can i conect them together to make them all run off one switch? (i can solder)

    You're half way there! In fact, soldering is the one skill I can't seem to find in college grads...

    i was thinking i could take out the switches put all 3 battery packs together then have the 3 blocks of 4 leds and wire them in series?

    wire them in series, leave 2 of the switches on and control them all from the third switch. Or you could just remove the 2 unnecessary switches. Peter

    could i put all 3 battery packs at the begging of the circuit?

    you're going to convert something that looks like this:

    into something like this:

    keep the relationship between the + end of the batteries and the + end of the LEDs. And you need to keep the 3 resistors in series to ensure the current is correct.
