Hi everyone,
i have to present an article in my college. Rectifier is a part in it. I attached the file here. Can anybody help me in the selection of value of the capacitor (filter). I need to know what is the procedure to calculate it.

somebody told that T = RC is used to calculate the decay time.i.e., discharge time. I heard, More the decay time, less the ripples.I want a pure DC, at least 90%, without a regulator like 7812 etc...

Iam using PSIM simulation software.
