Hi Guys,
I’m wondering if a minimal AGC could be achieved with a small one transistor radio or the like.
Or some other simple method to keep the radio flooding with signal that is too strong.
Say a radio that is only an LC circuit, rectifier, and amplifier.
Any ideas?
Cheers, Art.

With such a simple radio, your best bet would be an automatic attenuator on the front end. This would be a great Arduino project.

The first radio I ever built was a crystal set with a real piece of germanium and a cats whisker, I remember well the joy of being given a "RED SPOT" transistor to amplify the tiny signal! Those old ex W.D headphones were hard on the ears though! No agc on that! ( I guess there are many on here who will be saying "whats he on about?)
