Shot In the Back

Yeah, I wouldn't want his "minor" injuries. They are not "serious" or "critical", but I think he could still have broken bones and open gashes and they'd still call it "minor" as long as his life is not at risk.

Also, new reporters aren't the most accurate folks.

It keeps happening. He thought he was using a stun gun.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/04/12/us/tulsa-police-shooting-video/

Edit: The Officer who accidentally shot him is 73. Granted they had the correct individual though; the suspect was arrested selling Meth and then later was trying to sell an illegal handgun to an undercover agent and then fled and gets shot by the 73 year old officer.

I just think "73" is a little old to be out fighting crime.

I've seen that happen quite a bit.

My brother used to do "ridealongs" with two of my cousins, and basically, he was there as "Backup".

The old, 73 year old insurance salesman; donated cars and money to the cops, so he also used "Special privileges".

Happens all the time.

About the Dash cams and Body cams::

http://ktla.com/2015/02/18/st-louis...ning-off-dashcam-video-during-violent-arrest/

This is not the first video to show them intentionally turning off those damned ol, pesky, cameras.

"“I don’t think that an officer on the scene, should have the capability to stop the camera from rolling.
Otherwise, it defeats the entire purpose of having body cameras and or dashcams,” Schwartz said."

That's not even in the same ballpark. That crazy desperado was not following orders and was moving to escape after being tazed at least twice with two officers surrounding him. If they had shot him dead instead of using physical force to incapacitate the guy the justification would have been easy.
Unfortunately, a lot of police officers disagree with you. Last entry on page 1 as I post this.

Now going back tot he original part of this threads topic
Following his life up to this point it almost appears it was suicide by cop as his way of getting out of a screwed up legal system rule set in providing child support.

Debtors prison. This subject goes back to King George, and beyond. With today's computers, you would have to be, "off the grid" to stop getting jailed for causing Welfare Mothers! IMHO, the worst form of, "littering". Still, "Get laid, go to jail." seems as wrong as the numbers on pot smokers in prison. Ow. Headache!

Now going back tot he original part of this threads topic it appears that the guy who got shot has a lot more behind his side of the story than first shown.

No matter what a guy has done in his past, that has zero to do with some over-zealous thug, shooting him in the back.

The crime was committed in the present, doesn't matter what he has done before this.

All that, is for a judge to decide, not a cop.

The cops who do these crimes, also have a lot of bad things in their own past.

Think about it like this........what will happen to you, immediately; when YOU shoot some guy in the back?

Will you get suspended, with compensation, from your job?

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/201...er-spine-was-nearly-severed-while-in-custody/

Here is one more case where a guy severed 80% of his OWN spine, while in police custody.
How does a human sever his own spine?
80%???

""The Gray family’s attorney, Billy Murphy, disputed the police timeline, and said the injuries Gray suffered while in police custody were fatal. “His spine was 80 percent severed at his neck,” Murphy said.
We have no confidence that the city or the police department is going to fairly and objectively investigate this case,” Murphy added.""

One day........American Citizens will rise up, stand together as one, and put a stop to these murders.
Hopefully, sooner than later.
It may get nasty before it's over.

The desperado (or I should say, his lawyer) took the money. Nice paycheck, but I'm guessing it won't last very long.

San Bernardino County approved a $650,000 payout Tuesday to a man who was beaten by sheriff’s deputies after he was thrown off a horse — an incident captured on video by a hovering news helicopter.
...
County spokesman David Wert said supervisors agreed to the settlement in order to avoid the costs, time and effort involved in a potential lawsuit.

“Clearly this was something that both sides had an interest in resolving as soon as possible,” he said.
...
Pusok led deputies on an hours-long chase that began after they arrived to serve a search warrant at a home in unincorporated Apple Valley. The father of three did not live at the home but fled in a car after deputies arrived.

He eventually abandoned the car and fled on foot, then allegedly stole a horse, which he rode for about four miles until the animal threw him as deputies approached, according to sheriff’s officials.

The bad thing about all those pay-offs, is that WE are who really pays for them.......not the officers who actually commit the crimes.
We pay our taxes, to cover the cost for their erroneous, and sometimes criminal, murderous, actions.

No skin off their noses.

I'm sure a few will have some pretty short paychecks for a while but I would love to see some of the money come from the police retirement fund to make payoffs hurt the force as a whole so older guys would train the new hires to stop costing them money.
This case so far is not criminal and judging from the payoff never will be.

Some nut with a warrant camping at Walmart shot a police dog so they used the 'tank' to get him out.
It might be overkill but somedays smashing a tick or annoying mosquito with a large hammer is just so satisfying. :D
