    Hi

My sharp LCD TV turned yellow today, and the is more than 2 years old, don't think I still cover by warranty.

    The model number is: LC-40L650X

So how can I fix it? Or not worth the fix?

They talk about the blue channel dying which makes sense because it would make the white become yellow (red+green) .
Maybe the driver for the blue channel is dead or there is a problem with the vga connection.

If you are sure that the monitor is not covered by warranty anymore then try opening it up and giving it at least a quick visual inspection of the chips and other components. With a stroke of luck a few burned components will be visually identifiable but I doubt it.
    It's still worth a try

    Edit:

First thing you might want to do though is take another monitor/tv that you know works and using the same cable hook up the other monitor/tv and see if it works to confirm that the problem is in your sharp lcd and not somewhere else.

I am hoping I can crack open the TV and have a look, guess I can't now, as the TV is actually still within warranty.

    Thanks Shagas
