    Is this another Scam?

    https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/asap-dash-world-s-fastest-pocket-sized-charger#/story

They claim to be able to fully charge a 5000mAh battery in 15 mins using a 50 watts charger???
Is that even possible? 5000mAh @5 volts = 25 Wh battery.

Assuming a 100% conversion efficiency and a constant charge rate(batteries don't charge at a constant charge rate the last 20% actually takes a lot longer) a 50 watt charger would take 30 mins at the least to charge, right?

I don't think that this battery pack advertisement is any more miss leading than any other battery pack advertisement. Sure, you can recharge any phone in 15 minutes, it just depends on how dis-charged the phone is. They didn't specify that. It has basic good specs. Use science as your guide, not hype.

But is is possible to ever charge a 25 Whr battery using a 50 watt charger in 15 mins? Put aside efficiency, battery chemistry considerations etc.

"50 watts" is the size of the charger that charges the battery pack, not the phone. The battery pack max output to the phone is 5 volts at 3.1 amps. The "standard" USB charger is rated at 1 amp out and the high output (Apple) USB chargers are rated at 2 amps. It is what it, read and understand the specs and ignore the hype.
