I have three 6v 225a/h batteries that I would like connect to achieve 12v. How would I go about this and what would be my a/h rating at the end. Thanks in advance.

Note that the capacity of a battery is measured in ampere.hours not amperes per hour. Ergo, your writng a/h is incorrect. It should be written as ah (normally as capitals, viz: AH).

Better get in the right habit now or it will cause errors at some time in the future in your calculations.
