I am working on a project for one of my courses and I need to input the values of temperature, current, voltage and irradiance to a FPGA.

The problem is that I don't know much about sensors so I'm not sure if there are digital sensors that I can directly use or I should get an analog sensor and convert it in one way or the other.

I searched the forum and google but it confused me so any help about this subject is appreciated.

    Thanks :)

Most sensors are analog, self voltage generating or current passing thru device converted to voltage. The voltage amplified, scaled & converted to digital via analog to digital converter. There should be individual panel meters for specific requirements with external digital outputs.

Check internet for digital panel meters , 'found hundreds.

Irradiance might be a bit trickier to measure. What methods have you considered and discarded? Are there specific wavelengths and bands in which you are interested?

Thanks guys. I checked your replies now because my partner took the job for the sensors.
