sensor circuit

    hi dears

    I need your help to build a circuit for this project

    a student want to help blind people using sensors

    his idea said : sensor will detect if there any stones or solid body in front of his way

    now : what he need to do this circuit and is the photo sensor is a proper one?

    also I need your help to build the circuit

    A lot easier and cheaper to use ultrasonic sensors.

    stones (if you mean like "rocks") is going to be virtually impossible to detect properly without constant false triggering at any terrain change..
    A decent sized solid body should be fairly simple.. But rocks/stones/pebbles on the ground ain't gonna happen.

    and yes ultrasonic sensors would be the way to go..

    This might be too expensive, nor do I know how you could make it work, but what about a 3d laser scanner? You'd probably need a fast processor to make it work. But it could scan everything near and translate that into an object being in front or near the blind person.
