Hey everyone !

I need to make some sort of sensors to detect shots from a 1mW laser in a roughly 6cmx6cm region. I was thinking of using a solar panel connected to a buzzer for this. Do you think this is a reliable approach ? Also it would be great if someone can help out with the circuit, noob here.

Thanks !

The problem may be that you won't get a detectable signal if only one of the solar panel cells are illuminated by the laser. You would likely have to try it by using a voltmeter to see if you can detect any output voltage.

Is there going to be any significant ambient light?

What is the laser color (wavelength)?
