This subject came up here around two years ago with no resolution. I think the mods are willing, but in general it was more hassle than it was worth.

So what would you put SgtWookies title at around 13000+ posts (almost all of it helping our other members)?

I nominate Wookie as AAC mod! <ducking!>

Seriously though, you are #1 in helping our users, by any criteria.

Hmmm, June 10, a date to remember. We're not so far apart, I'm 53 until September.

So if you could pick a title, what would it be Wook?

I remember at MajorGeeks that certain members were dubbed special titles, commensurate with their activities.

I particularly liked one poster's title who became "MajorDilemma"

Because her name was Emma, and Major Geeks loves military ranks in high titles. Just a idiosyncrasy in an excellent site.

I never spotted that, Bill.

I always though it ways due to the enthusiastic, but largely misdirected, posts. The lady alwys seemed to be in a quandrary.

I would not be pleased if someone changed my title to "General", unless it was something like "GenerallyGivesFairlyOKadvice". I actually don't like to post on sites that assign "rank" according to post count.

There are far too many "phony veterans" out there; outright frauds who claim that they earned ranks and/or medals/awards and served in ways that were complete fabrications.

I was just a Sgt who served from the end of the Vietnam War until 1980. Never even left the States except for a brief ride up and down the Atlantic coast on the USS Forrestal. National Defense ribbon and Good Conduct, 2nd award - and 5x Rifle Expert. That's it.

Don't think I'd be happy as a Moderator, either. Done that before, didn't particularly care for it. I'd rather just play with the techie stuff. ;)
