Sending signal to ADC

Hi. I am doing a project where I have a 1mA DC signal and I need to be able to monitor a uA change in the DC current. I have an experimenter board with 0 and 3.3V with a 16 bit ADC. I have looked into current-feedback amplifiers to amplify the signal and then send it to the ADC. Is this a good solution? Are there other amplifiers that would work better? Could I send the 1mA DC signal straight to the ACD? Also, I will run the current through a resistor to get a voltage that I can send to the ADC.

Thanks,
ed

Please post your circuit - it may be okay, but we have no idea of the specific op amp or any details. You will need to amplify the signal for the required resolution, though.
