semiconductor basic

    In a semiconductor diode there is a drift current in forward bias which is independent of applied voltage .How really it comes into picture?(means how it generated ,from p to n or n to p ,why it is not affected by the forward voltage?)

    No, drift current is due to applied voltage. Diffusion current is not.
